About JumpSeat

JumpSeat is an open-source platform for training, guidance, and support, which enables the creation of guided walkthroughs which are displayed over the interface of web-based applications. The system is designed to assist with onboarding, application-specific training, and ongoing support, without requiring technical resources for the creation of training materials. JumpSeat provides step-by-step instructions to users, designed to present information at the exact time it is required. Guided walkthroughs can be created in real time, and users can can be alerted to new feature releases or changed to the application. Guides and courses can be aligned with user roles, serving up relevant walkthroughs to users based on the applications they need to use, and preventing access to application features for untrained staff. Rich media, including videos and links, can be included in courses, users can be quizzed on their knowledge, and branching guide structures can be setup to support different learning pathways.
